In a worrying development, four labourers from Punjab province have been killed by unknown militants in the Mangchar area of Kalat, Balochistan on Saturday.

According to Assistant Commissioner Mangchar Ali Gul, unknown armed men opened fire on innocent labourers working on a tube well installation in Malangzai, Mangchar.

According to details, the victims who were martyred by militants belonged to Sadiqabad, Punjab. Reportedly, the dead bodies have been sent to Sadiqibad after all the necessary legal requirements.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the unfortunate incident that took place in the Mangchar area of Kalat.

The Premier expressed condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for their highest ranks in the afterlife.

“In this hour of grief, we stand with the families of poor and working-class labourers. Those who target poor and working-class people are enemies of humanity,” remarked the PM.

Security situation in the country, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has been deteriorating significantly in the last two years.

Earlier this month, terrorists belonging to Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) attacked and hijacked Jaffar Express train, making more than 400 passengers hostage.

The unfortunate incident gained worldwide attention as security forces rescued all the passengers, killing all 33 terrorists.

However, it also led to deaths of more than 25 people including some FC personnel.

On March 18, the high-level Parliamentary Committee on National Security unanimously decided to deal with terrorists with an “iron hand.”

“For sustainable stability, all elements of national power will have to work in harmony. This is a battle for our survival and that of our future generations. We need better governance and making the state of Pakistan a Hard State,” remarked the Army Chief Gen Asim Munir.
