In an earlier development, a tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday morning in Islamabad’s DHA Phase 5, where a father and daughter were swept away in a car by flash flood during intense monsoon rainfall.

The victims, identified as Qazi Ishaq and his daughter, were residents of Sector A, DHA Phase 5. They were reportedly on their way to the daughter’s college when their car was caught in a fast rising drainage stream.

Eyewitnesses said the floodwater surged suddenly, and the father and daughter swept away in a car by flash flood in Islamabad had no time to escape. Onlookers heard them calling for help before the vehicle was dragged away and disappeared from view.

As of latest developement, authorities have so far remained unsuccessful in locating the father and the daughter despite using helicopters in Sawan River and neaby nullahs.
