Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) on Eid-ul-Azha to spend the festive day with frontline troops defending the country’s borders.

The visit began with Eid prayers, during which special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s peace, stability, and prosperity, and for the martyrs who laid down their lives in defence of the nation.

Extending Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, the COAS lauded their unwavering dedication, professionalism, and steadfast service amid ongoing challenges. He said that celebrating Eid away from their families at the frontlines reflects their deep commitment to safeguarding the motherland year-round.

The COAS commended the formation’s outstanding performance in recent operations, including Marqa-e-Haq and Operation Bunyaanum Marsoos, and paid rich tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis whose sacrifices continue to reinforce Pakistan’s security and national resolve.

“You have befittingly avenged the loss of innocent Pakistani lives, including women, children, and the elderly, through your bold and effective response,” said Field Marshal Munir, praising the troops’ efforts.

While interacting with the soldiers, he appreciated their high morale, exceptional operational preparedness, and resolute vigilance in the face of Indian ceasefire violations. He reiterated full confidence in the battle-readiness of Pakistan’s Armed Forces to deter and defeat any aggression.

Highlighting Pakistan’s principled stance on Kashmir, the COAS assured that the valiant struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation would never be forgotten. He stressed the urgent need for resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of its people and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Upon his arrival at the LoC, the Army Chief was received by Commander Rawalpindi Corps.
