Pakistan on Saturday hosted the Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference in Islamabad, with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir welcoming the military leaders from the United States of America, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
In a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), it highlighted the significance of this multilateral conference which was aimed toward improving regional security cooperation, military diplomacy and strategic dialogue between the participating countries.
Independent observers have noted that Pakistan’s diplomatic and global stature has risen since Pakistan delivered a humiliating defeat to the regional bully, India.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on occasions has stated that India’s claims of calling itself the “net-security provider” has fallen apart as it continues to act as a rogue state.
Field Marshal’s meeting with the US President Donald Trump and his subsequent visit to China to meet with Chinese Foreign Minister has revealed that Pakistan’s strategic significance has increased.
On today’s occasion, he stated, “In an era defined by transnational threats and complex hybrid challenges, the imperative for deeper military-to-military cooperation, strategic dialogue, and mutual trust is paramount. Pakistan remains fully committed to working with partner nations to build a secure and prosperous regional environment.”
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir after successfully leading the military diplomacy in the United States and China has now invited the Central Asian countries military leaders to enhance cooperation among these countries.
“This strategic convergence reflects Pakistan’s enduring commitment to a secure, interconnected, and cooperative region, anchored in shared security interests and regional solidarity,” stated the ISPR.
