Field Marshal Asim Munir receives warm welcome from overseas Pakistanis in US

WEBDESK: Overseas Pakistanis in the United States gave Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, a warm and enthusiastic welcome during his official visit.

A large number of community members gathered in Washington D.C. to meet him and show their support.

The Overseas Pakistani community paid a heartfelt tribute to the Armed forces, especially praising their bravery and professionalism after Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

In a show of solidarity, videos of the Army Chief and visuals of a beautiful, resilient Pakistan were displayed across several prominent locations, including Times Square in New York and key spots in Washington D.C.

According to sources, digital trucks also moved around Washington’s streets, showing powerful visuals honouring the Armed Forces and martyrs, drawing attention to their sacrifices and dedication.

In his engagement with the overseas Pakistani community, the COAS expressed his appreciation and gratitude towards their sustained efforts in promoting Pakistan on the global platform.

He recognized them as significant contributors to the growth of the Pakistani economy in terms of remittances and investments, and the improvement of Pakistani image in the world with achievement in different areas.

The Army Chief referred to overseas Pakistanis as good ambassadors of the nation.

He showed some interest in their experiences and recommendations and indicated the necessity of constant involvement.

He emphasized on collaboration so as to be able to pull through together and fortify the relationship between the nation and its diaspora.
