WEBDESK: JUI-F leader Fazal ur Rehman has criticized the government and hinted at launching a protest movement after Eid in collaboration with Pakistan Tehreek Insafe (PTI), Fazal ur Rehman said on Saturday.

Government Criticism and Future Plans

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazal ur Rehman has once again voiced his discontent with the current government, calling it weak and incompetent. Speaking to reporters, he stated that his party would decide on an anti-government movement after Eid, following consultations with political allies.

Fazl also underscored the need for dialogue on Balochistan and indicated that JUI-F could consider playing a role in Afghanistan-related matters if requested by the state.

According to Fazal ur Rehman, Pakistan’s economy and governance have deteriorated under the current leadership. He emphasized that the people are facing extreme hardships due to rising inflation and political instability.

Criticism of Judiciary

The JUI-F chief also criticized the judiciary, accusing them of interfering in political affairs. He claimed that unfair treatment of his party members and political bias have become evident.

Furthermore, he expressed frustration over what he described as selective accountability, stating that his party members were being targeted while others remained untouched.

What’s Next for JUI-F?

While no final decision has been made, Fazal ur Rehman hinted that JUI-F is considering large-scale protests or demonstrations after Eid. He assured that his party would take all necessary steps to challenge what he sees as government failures.

With political tensions rising, it remains to be seen whether Fazal ur Rehman and his party will move forward with their anti-government plans.

The PTI has been actively reaching out to opposition leaders following Khan’s directive to build an anti-government alliance.

In January, a PTI delegation formally invited Fazl to join the opposition bloc, Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-e-Pakistan (TTAP). More recently, PTI’s Asad Qaiser and JUI-F Senator Kamran Murtaza formed a committee to facilitate further discussions.

Despite these efforts, a formal working relationship remains elusive. JUI-F has conveyed its conditions and concerns to PTI.
