Fatima Sana confident ahead of T20I series: ‘morale is high, we’re ready’

Web desk: Pakistan captain Fatima Sana claimed her best T20I bowling figures of 4 for 26 and completed 100 international wickets.

The Pakistan women’s cricket team embarked on a three-match T20I series against Ireland that kicked off on August 6 at the Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin. The remaining two matches will be on August 8 and 10, at the same venue.

Pakistan captain Sana had believed in her side a lot prior to the series. She told the players had worked hard at their preparations at the recent camp in Karachi and were quite ready to face what she termed as a busy season of international cricket.

“Our morale is high before the beginning of a busy season. All the players have put in a lot of hard work to improve their skills in the Karachi camp, and everyone is looking forward to giving their best in the T20I series,” Fatima Sana said as per a statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

She also said that the team had a target to extend their winning streak, which had begun in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, which was played in April.

“We are encouraged to continue winning and build on the World Cup Qualifier momentum,” she said.
