Fake News Alert: Pakistan did not allow any airspace use for strikes on Iran

WEBDESK: Fake News Alert: The claim circulating on social media that Pakistan allowed its airspace for US B2 bombers, warships, and submarines to strike Iranian sites is completely false and baseless.

This is fake news. Pakistan has not granted any such permission, and no official source has confirmed this allegation.

It is strongly urged to the public to rely only on verified information from Pakistan’s official news channels and government statements.

Be cautious of fake, misleading, and unverified content on social media platforms.

PTV on its official Facebook page posted regarding misinformation, stating “Please always search Pakistan’s official news channels always for verifiable, authentic, reliable and accurate news. Be wary of fake & unverifiable news on social media”

Pakistan has not provided or allowed the use of its airspace, land, or waters for any attacks by the United States or Israel against Iran.

On the contrary, Pakistan has officially condemned the US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities carried out on the night of June 21–22, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Furthermore, Pakistan has consistently and unequivocally condemned Israeli aggression against Iran at various international forums, extending full political, moral, and diplomatic support to Iran. Pakistan remains firmly committed to not becoming part of any foreign conflict, military alliance, or bloc politics.

From the outset, Pakistan has upheld a principled stance, affirming Iran’s right to self-defense while emphasizing its own commitment to protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Pakistan continues to engage all relevant stakeholders in the interest of de-escalation and peace, advocating for an early cessation of hostilities through sustainable, honorable, and mutually acceptable solutions, rather than contributing to further regional instability and its grave consequences.

This is not the first time propaganda elements have attempted to spread false and inflammatory claims about Pakistan’s role in regional affairs.

The recent fake news alleging that Pakistan allowed its airspace for US strikes on Iran is yet another deliberate attempt to mislead and provoke.

In these sensitive and volatile times, it is more important than ever to seek information only from verified, official sources.

Avoid sharing unconfirmed reports circulating on social media, and help stop the spread of disinformation.
