Former Indian army officer, Pravin Sawhney has said that according to him Iran cannot be defeated.

On his X account, he said, “My take: Iran cannot be defeated on the battlefield. Period!”

His post came after Israel initiated missile attacks on Iran, and now Iran is giving a retaliatory response.

On Monday morning, Israel attacked districts of Narmak and Lavizan in Tehran.

According to latest reports, Israeli strikes have killed 224 people so far, according to Iran’s Health Ministry. Among them is the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC)’s intelligence organisation Mohammed Kazemi, and two other generals.

Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir has pledged to increase attacks on Iran, as part of a “historic and unprecedented operation aimed at delivering a significant blow to an existential threat”.

World reaction on Iran-Israel conflict

US President Donald Trump has hinted that a deal could strike soon, however, both countries did not respond to this.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has said the upcoming Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada could yield an agreement on four key points, including the need to create space for diplomacy to help resolve the conflict.

On Sunday, Russian President Putin condemned the Israeli military operation against Iran and expressed concern about the risks of escalation.

He spoke to President Tump on this matter for almost an hour.

Trump said he and Putin mostly discussed the Middle East and spent “much less time” talking about the war in Ukraine.
