Choti Eid also known as Eid-ul-fitr will fall on March 31st, according to Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO).

It means that we will get to enjoy 29 days of Ramadan this time.

SUPARCO has said that Shawwal moon will be formed on March 29 at 3:58pm PKT. By sunset on March 30, the moon will be visible in Pakistan.

“The visibility of the crescent depends on key factors such as the moon’s age, its angular separation from the sun, altitude at sunset, and atmospheric conditions,” read the statement issued by the Suparco.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) also predicted the same date as SUPARCO.

Eid-ul-fitr in Saudi Arabia

If the prediction is true, Pakistanis will celebrate Eid-ul-fitr with Saudi Arabia.

The Pakistani government has also announced Eid holidays from Monday (March 31st).

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will sit together on Sunday evening, to sight the Shawwal moon.

The sighting of Shawwal moon would mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan.

Pakistan witnessed the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on March 2nd, as the Ramadan moon was not sighted on February 28.
