Many buyers from nearby districts visit Gujranwala due to its reputation for healthy animals.

Karachi’s cattle market offers many conveniences such as electricity, clean water, ATM machines, and discounted parking. Traders can rent tents at special rates, and free veterinary services are available to keep the animals healthy. Large animals get 30 liters of water daily, while smaller ones like goats receive 8 liters.
In Punjab, including Gujranwala, over 3,000 police officers are deployed to maintain security across 227 cattle markets. Strict actions are being taken against illegal markets to ensure safe buying and selling. Special patrolling teams monitor these markets to prevent theft and fraud.
