The elders welcomed the decision and thanked the government for its continued support.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he was pleased to meet representatives of a region with rich traditions and a proud history. He said the tribal people made immense sacrifices for the peace and security of Pakistan.

He added that maintaining law and order in the merged areas is one of the government’s top priorities.

He underlined the federal government’s commitment to socioeconomic uplift.

He said major investments are going into education, healthcare, skills training, and jobs for the youth of the merged KPK districts.

The Prime Minister said substantial funds have been set aside in the current development budget to improve infrastructure.

He mentioned FATA University and police facilities as key areas receiving support.

By restoring educational quotas for former FATA, the government aims to protect access for students who face structural disadvantages after the merger.

The announcement also signals a renewed push to integrate the region through education, public services, and stable security.
