The earthquake in Pakistan shook several major cities across the country.

According to reports, the tremors were not only felt in Punjab but also in the parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The earthquake was felt in the early hours of Wednesday.

How strong was it?

According to National Seismological Centre in Islamabad, Pakistan was hit with 5.6-magnitude earthquake.

The quake’s epicentre was located in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, at a depth of 69 kilometers.

The tremors were also felt in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Afghanistan.

Moreover, Balochistan was also hit by earthquake that occurred after the 5.6-magnitude quake.

Balochistan’s Khuzdar was affected, with the earthquake recorded at 3.9 on the Richter scale.

The depth of the earthquake was 30 kilometers underground.
