DIG Quetta vows to maintain law and order amid BLA protests and attacks

Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Quetta Atta Zaz Goraiya and Commissioner Quetta Saad bin Asad held a press conference, stating that the provincial government is making every effort to maintain law and order in the province and will not tolerate any violation of the law under any circumstances.

According to the details, DIG Quetta Aetzaz Ahmed Goraya and Commissioner Quetta Saad bin Asad mentioned that on 11 March, an attack took place on the Jaffar Express, for which the BLA claimed responsibility. They also stated that during the protests in Quetta, CCTV cameras in the Safe City project were damaged, and militants from the Baloch Youth Congress (BYC) caused harm to public property.

DIG Quetta Aetzaz Ahmed Goraya added that a protest was held by the BYC platform for two bodies. He emphasised that the first right to receive the bodies belongs to the family members, but the BLA terrorists are presenting them as heroes. He further mentioned that the bodies of BLA’s militants were brought to Quetta for identification.

He also said that the government will not allow the situation in Balochistan to deteriorate. Furthermore, he stated that the hospital building had been damaged, and the families of the deceased were called from Sohbatpur, where the bodies were handed over to them.
