CRPF Trooper fired for marrying Pakistani woman in secret

India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) tropper, Munir Ahmed, has been dismissed from service for hiding his marriage to a Pakistani woman.

According to the Indian media, the officer was deployed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and was terminated for not disclosing his marriage to a Pakistani woman.

Indian media also reported that the officer’s wife, Minal Khan, was initially instructed to leave India, but an Indian court later granted her permission to stay in the country for an additional 10 days.

Ahmed who had joined CRPF in April 2017, said he will challenge his dismissal in the court of law. “I am sure of getting justice”.

He revealed that he married the Pakistani woman after getting permission from the force’s headquarters.

Ahmed also said that he got to know about his dismissal from the media.

After Pahalgam incident, in a brutal move, India revoked all visas issued to Pakistani nationals, effective from April 27.

The country also announced other measures, including cutting the number of diplomatic staff and closing the only functional land border crossing between the countries.
