COAS visits South Waziristan, Chehkan to celebrate Eid with soldiers

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir spent Eid-ul-Fitr with officers and troops deployed on the Western Border, visiting Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief offered Eid prayers with the soldiers and prayed for Pakistan’s stability and prosperity.

During his visit, Gen Munir extended Eid greetings to the troops and lauded their unwavering dedication and exemplary service to the nation. “Your commitment and resilience not only secure our homeland but also exemplify your profound love for Pakistan,” he remarked.

He also acknowledged the contributions of the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs), along with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the fight against terrorism. The COAS credited the formations’ achievements to the sacrifices of martyrs and those committed to the cause of peace and stability.

Upon his arrival, the Army Chief was warmly received by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
