Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi today to meet soldiers and civilians injured during Marka-e-Haq — Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, the Pakistan Army’s recent response to Indian aggression.
During the visit, the COAS individually interacted with the wounded personnel, commending their unparalleled bravery, steadfastness, and dedication to duty. He reiterated the Pakistan Armed Forces’ firm commitment to ensuring the complete care, rehabilitation, and long-term welfare of all injured service members and civilians.
“Our civilians’ and soldiers’ valour and sacrifice form the cornerstone of Pakistan’s security. The entire nation stands in resolute solidarity with every member of its Armed Forces,” General Munir stated during the visit.
He emphasized that no hostile intent or act of aggression can shake the resolve of the Pakistan Armed Forces. The COAS described the resolute and united response during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos—executed across land, air, sea, and cyber domains—as a landmark chapter in Pakistan’s military history.
General Munir also highlighted the role of national unity and public support during the operation, noting that the unwavering backing of the Pakistani people empowered the Armed Forces to deliver a decisive and dignified response to external threats.
The visit comes in the aftermath of a large-scale retaliatory operation by Pakistan in response to unprovoked Indian aggression earlier this month, which led to casualties on both military and civilian fronts. The Pakistan Army has since conducted coordinated military strikes and counter-terrorism operations across multiple theatres, including the Line of Control (LoC) and the western border regions.
The Armed Forces have assured the nation that every sacrifice will be honored, and every injured soldier and civilian will receive the care and respect they deserve.
