CM Maryam Nawaz Distributes Eid Gifts To SPecial Students Across Punjab

On the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the distribution of Eid gifts to special students across Punjab has begun, with a target of providing gifts to 40,000 children before the holiday break.

Maryam Nawaz personally distributed Eid gifts to special students in Lahore, bringing smiles to their faces. The children expressed joy and gratitude upon receiving gifts directly from the chief minister.

In her message, Maryam Nawaz said, “We want to make special children a part of Eid celebrations by sharing gifts with them. Seeing their happiness is truly rewarding. We are introducing new and unique projects for their well-being across Punjab.”

When is Eid in Pakistan?

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has decided to meet on March 30 (Sunday) to perform the moon sighting ceremony of Shawwal moon to determine the date of Eid ul Fitr 2025.

The sighting of Shawwal moon would mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan.

Diverse experts constitute the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee including religious scholars, meteorological experts, and other who will deliberate on testimonies received from across the country.

Traditionally, the committee receives multiple testimonies from across Pakistan during the session after which experts determine the date for starting the new Islamic month.

Pakistan witnessed the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on March 2, as the Ramadan moon was not sighted on February 28.
