China has issued instructions to its citizens in Israel and Iran to leave the countries owing to seriously deteriorating security situation.
China’s foreign ministry said its embassies and consulates are helping citizens who want to leave. No exact details were shared.
Chinese officials are also in talks with Iran, Israel, and other countries. They are pushing for a ceasefire.
The ministry called on all parties to act responsibly. It urged countries with influence over Israel to help stop the conflict.
The Chinese embassies in Israel and Iran have issued safety warnings. They have asked Chinese citizens to remain alert and follow updates.
On Tuesday, the Chinese embassy in Israel advised people to return to China or leave through nearby countries. It said Israeli airspace is closed, and the government has extended its national emergency until June 30.
The embassy suggested using land routes, mainly via Jordan.
The embassy said civilian areas are being hit, and the situation is getting worse.
A similar message was posted by the Chinese embassy in Iran. It said Iran’s airspace is also closed. There is a chance that land borders may shut soon.
The embassy listed border points into Turkey, Armenia, and Turkmenistan. These are 760 to 910 kilometers from Tehran.
China has asked both countries to end the fighting. It has also called for calm in the region.
Iran has reportedly asked Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman to press the U.S. to push Israel toward a ceasefire. In return, Iran may show flexibility in nuclear talks.
Pakistan embassy in Iran evacuates non-essential staff
According to Azaad Digital’s sources, the Foreign Ministry is moving out families of diplomats and staff and some non-essential staff from Iran.
The sources stated, “However Pakistan embassy in Tehran and our consulates will continue to remain functional.”
