Renowned chef of Pakistan, Chef Zakir Qureshi has passed away at the age of 58 in Karachi.
Many people know Chef Zakir since his popular show on Hum TV’s cooking channel Masala TV.
He was not only famous in Pakistan but has a fan following in India and Bangladesh too.
What happened to Chef Zakir?
According to reports, he was on dialyses.
In 2023, he posted a video of himself on his YouTube channel in which he can be seen thin.
Founder and CEO of popular cooking channel, Food Fusion, Asadullah Suleman Memon shared the news on Instagram.
“It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Chef Zakir Hussain, a towering figure in the culinary world. While he was not a part of Food Fusion, his contributions to food, tradition, and the chef community were our inspiration”, the post said.
Asad recalled the chef as a “maestro of flavors, a passionate cook, a teacher to many, and a guardian of authentic culinary heritage.”
The funeral prayers of Chef Zakir will be offered tomorrow (Tuesday) in Karachi.
