Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousuf on Friday revealed the amenities that will be provided to Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan in Saudi Arabia.

According to the federal minister, Hajj pilgrims from Pakistan will be provided with air conditioners and folding mattresses in camps at Mina, Saudi Arabia.

The federal minister announced this development during his visit to Hajj Camp in Karachi. He went to oversee the final preparations for the Hajj 2025 by Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

“Several new modifications have been made in the Hajj process. The new changes upheld and arranged by the Saudi and Pakistan governments, respectively, have been devised to ease the journey for pilgrims,” stated Yousaf.

He also expressed satisfaction over the arrangements undertaken by the authorities.  Sardar Yousaf while speaking at the session, commended the care and attention given to raise awareness about the methods and means of performing Hajj.

The minister for religious affairs also announced that the government had made all arrangements for the Hall pilgrims to accommodate them in “Markaziya”.

He also reaffirmed the need to raise awareness about discipline required from the pilgrims travelling to the holy land. Minister remarked that the pilgrims would be ambassadors of Pakistan and they must show discipline and patience by following all guidelines.

The event organised by the religious ministry also delved into the details, including the characteristics and chronological order, of the Hajj.

Furthermore, pilgrims from Pakistan would be given a SIM to facilitate WhatsApp calls from Saudi Arabia, a facility that is not possible on SIMS bought from Saudi Arabia.

Earthquake prediction Pakistan: Major quake could strike Next week

A Pakistani private earthquake forecasting company, Earthquake Quick news & Research Center (EQQN), has issued a warning under the earthquake prediction Pakistan category, forecasting a strong earthquake in the next week.

EQQN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shahbaz Leghari while talking to media, remarked, “Pakistan and Afghanistan will experience a 5.4 magnitude earthquake next week, with tremors likely to affect both the northern and southern regions of Pakistan.”

Leghari claimed that his previous predictions were proven true about recent earthquake. Referencing the earthquake on April 12, he claimed, “We have publicly forecasted it, during a press conference in Islamabad on April 7, 2025, the record of which is also available.”
