Traffic police for Lahore have finalised arrangements for the upcoming Champions Trophy match between England and Afghanistan at Gaddafi Stadium. A detailed parking plan has also been issued.

More than 1,000 traffic police personnel are on duty during the match, according to Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO). “Illegal parking will not be allowed.

Spectators coming from Defence will enter Firdous Market, take a left turn from Center Point, and park at CBD.

Those arriving via Ferozepur Road will turn at Kalma Chowk and park at Government College Gulberg through National Park in Lahore.

Visitors from Defence and Cantt can reach Liberty Parking via Hussain Chowk or Sherpao Bridge, entering through Main Boulevard Gulberg, Lahore.

Those coming from Mughalpura and Garhi Shahu will use Main Boulevard Gulberg to park at Sunfort Hotel Liberty Parking.

Will the roads be closed in Lahore?

Chief Traffic Officer assured that no roads will be permanently closed in the city of Lahore.

“All roads, including Mall Road, Jail Road, and Canal Road, will remain open for traffic,” he stated.

Traffic on Ferozepur Road and Main Boulevard Gulberg will also flow as usual.

Citizens are advised to avoid illegal parking and use designated parking areas.
