The eco-friendly buses were launched to reduce environmental pollution in Islamabad, as Pakistan experiences rising smog levels each year due to pollution. In 2024, Islamabad, like other parts of the country, witnessed the Air Quality Index (AQI) spike to 250, making the air quality unhealthy.
