Scottish travel vlogger Callum Mill has slammed Indian media for shamelessly dragging him into the case of Jyoti Malhotra, who has allegedly been accused of spying for Pakistan.
In 2023, Callum posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he interacted with Jyoti, who can be seen accompanied by armed guards.
In the video, she praised Pakistan’s hospitality and asked Callum if he had ever visited India.
It is pertinent to mention that Jyoti Malhotra visited Pakistan legally in 2023. She came to Lahore and enjoyed the old areas of the city.
Amid the tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian authorities took Jyoti into custody and accused her of being a Pakistan agent who is spying in India.
After that, Indian media channels dragged the Scottish vlogger and claimed that he helped the Indian authorities catch her.
Later, he slammed India, saying, “They are using my footage like I’ve unearthed crucial evidence, but it’s all a lot of shit.”
In a tweet, he further said, “The gunmen can clearly be seen in the video she was making, so I’m honestly baffled why they are bringing me into it.”
Callum emphasised that all footage was publicly available on Malhotra’s YouTube channel and did not contain any suspicious or classified content.
