WEBDESK: The blue line metro route in Islamabad is providing a convenient transport link between Koral Chowk and PIMS (Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences). This route stretches over 20 kilometers and includes 14 stops each way, making it a useful option for people traveling across the city.

According to the route map, the blue line metro route starts at Koral and ends at PIMS, passing through a series of key stops. These include Gangal, Fazaia, Lehtrar Khanna, Zia Masjid, Kuri Road, Iqbal Town, Sohan, Faizabad, I-8, H-8, and G-7/G-8. In total, there are 28 stops for a round trip.
The total travel time for the complete journey is listed as 80 minutes (round trip), which breaks down to around 40 minutes each way. This travel time offers a consistent and predictable option for those commuting between the southern and central parts of Islamabad.

Blue Line Metro timings
The Blue Line Metrobus operates seven days a week, providing reliable service for commuters throughout Islamabad. The buses run from 6:00am to 10:00pm, offering a full day of transport coverage.
Buses arrive about every 5 to 10 minutes at peak hours, so commuters on the blue line metro experience little wait and a comfortable travel along the route.
The Punjab government has launched country’s first underground metro train system and electric buses in Lahore, the Blue Metro Train.
The project for the Blue Metro Train will stretch for 27 kilometres, starting in Valencia Town and ending at Babu Sabu Chowk. The project is planned to finish after three years at an expected cost of Rs600 billion.
