The first total lunar eclipse of 2025 will take place on March 14, the moon will turn into a Blood Moon.

The last Blood Moon was seen in 2022.

The eclipse will occur around 2:59 pm PKT and since the event will take place during the day in Pakistan, it will not be visible for Pakistanis but Americans can enjoy its sight.

The climax will last approximately one hour. During this brief period, the moon will glow in various shades of red and orange, depending on how deeply it crosses Earth’s shadow.

A second total lunar eclipse will happen this year on September 7 and will be visible in eastern parts of Africa, across much of Asia, and the western half of Australia.

Where will Blood Moon be visible?

For this eclipse, the Western Hemisphere will be treated to the view, including all of North America and South America.

From 11:00pm EST onwards you can see the eclipse starting when the penumbral phase begins as the moon enter the outer part of the shadow and begins to subtly dim.

What happens during a lunar eclipse?

During a lunar eclipse, Earth blocks the light from the sun that normally illuminates the moon. Partial lunar eclipses are relatively common—but those like this that coincide with a full moon are a relative rarity.

It is pertinent to mention this eclipse is a rare occurrence and on average, each region of Earth has the chance to view a total lunar eclipse only once every 2.5 years.
