Govt appoints Bilal Bin Saqib as Chief Advisor on Crypto in Pakistan

The Pakistani government has appointed Bilal Bin Saqib as the Chief Advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council under the Ministry of Finance and Revenue.

Bilal Bin Saqib is the brother of famous social media personality Momin Saqib.

According to reports, Bilal, as an expert, will work closely with the government on the policies of cryptocurrency in Pakistan.

In this regard, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed Bilal’s appointment.

The government is looking forward to boosting the economy and creating job opportunities for Pakistanis.

The finance ministry was of the view that Saqib’s appointment is a critical achievement in Pakistan’s efforts to become a regional leader in the cryptocurrency space and ensure that the country is prepared to handle the regulatory, economic, and security challenges posed by this emerging sector.

Who is Bilal Bin Saqib?

In 2020, Bilal was featured on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for his work as a co-founder of Tayaba, a social enterprise dedicated to addressing Pakistan’s water crisis.

He studied at Queen Mary University and later attended the London School of Economics (LSE).

In 2023, Bilal Bin Saqib was awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his contributions to the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.
