Former Finance Minister, Asad Umar was on the flight which was coming to Lahore from Karachi and was hit by a strong dust storm when it was trying to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport.

The former minister, in a video, said that the turbulences were very extreme.

Asad Umar also thanked the pilot who was operating the aircraft as he saved the lives of the passengers despite a really strong and severe dust storm that hit Lahore on Saturday.

A Lahore-bound flight, FL-842 narrowly escaped a disaster when it was trying to make a landing in Lahore.

Air traffic control instructed the pilot to fly back to Karachi as the weather in Lahore was quite intense. The pilot complied, and the aircraft was refuelled in Karachi and prepared for a second attempt to Lahore once the weather improved. However, dozens of distressed passengers disembarked and cancelled their travel plans.

57 passengers of the flight refused to continue their journey.

The video of the passengers sitting inside the airplane, screaming and crying, went viral on social media.

A storm also hit Islamabad and the weather has turned really pleasant now after a long period of dry and hot weather.
