WEBDESK: Pakistani esports legend Arslan Ash has officially qualified for the Esports World Cup 2025, a massive international gaming tournament set to be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event, which will run from July 7 to August 24, will feature some of the best gamers in the world, including Arslan Ash, who is known for his dominance in the fighting game Tekken.
The EWC, running from July 7 to August 24, will feature 25 esports titles and over 2,000 competitors from more than 200 clubs, competing for a record-breaking $70 million prize pool.
The Tekken 8 tournament, in which Arslan Ash will compete, is scheduled to take place from August 13th to August 16th and carries a total prize of $1 million.
Arslan Ash earned his place in the World Cup after a solid showing at Combo Breaker 2025 in the United States, where he secured a joint 5th place among a pool of top international players. This performance helped him qualify among the world’s best for the prestigious global event.
Known for his exceptional skill and calm under pressure, Arslan Ash has already made history in the esports world by winning five EVO championships. His past victories include EVO Japan 2019, EVO USA 2019, EVO Japan 2023, EVO USA 2023, and EVO USA 2024.
Despite facing setbacks earlier this year – including visa issues that forced him to skip major events like Evo Japan and Riyadh Clash – he has proven his determination by securing his spot in one of the biggest esports events of the year.
As the countdown to the Esports World Cup 2025 begins, all eyes will be on Arslan Ash to see if he can add another major title to his growing legacy.
