Webdesk: Akhtar Iqbal Dar, Chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf Nazriati, has launched a strong criticism against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, accusing him of acting more like an entertainer than a serious political leader within PTI.
Dar claimed that Ali Amin Gandapur stirs up party supporters with loud and emotional speeches but later guides them in a direction that serves powerful behind-the-scenes forces, betraying the true essence of the party’s founding vision.
Speaking from the party’s office in Lahore, Dar said that such hypocrisy and conflicting behaviour don’t suit those who claim to care for the country and its people.
Referring to the PTI founder’s earlier announcement of a 30-day movement after the 10th of Muharram, which was originally meant to peak on August 5, Dar criticised the sudden decision to extend the movement to 90 days.
He said Ali Amin Gandapur’s dramatic line, “either we will remain or you will, in 90 days,” only shows that he is being used like a puppet, no more than a toy wound up to perform.
Earlier, Ali Amin Gandapur had urged state institutions to start a dialogue with PTI, while also calling for them to hold themselves accountable.
The chief minister and PTI’s top leadership are currently in Lahore to formally launch a movement for the release of party founder Imran Khan and to finalise a protest strategy, which is expected to peak on August 5, two years since the former prime minister was jailed.
Since Imran Khan’s arrest in several cases, which he maintains are politically motivated, PTI’s relationship with the government and establishment has sharply deteriorated. Over the past year, the party has organised several protests, many of which have turned violent after clashes with state forces.
