The district administration of Islamabad has stated that there are no law and order concerns in the capital, and markets and educational institutions will remain open as usual on Thursday.
Regarding the circulating news about the law and order situation in Islamabad, the district administration has confirmed that security arrangements outside mosques and important government buildings are proceeding as usual.
Security in Islamabad was put on high alert after heightened security measures were implemented across Pakistan in response to the attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan. Following the incident, local authorities swiftly took measures to strengthen security, particularly around sensitive government areas.
According to news reports, security around the Islamabad Police Lines has been significantly tightened. Roads adjacent to the Police Lines and the IG office have been blocked, and additional police commandos have been deployed to ensure safety. Concrete barriers and barbed wire have also been placed outside the Police Lines as part of enhanced security measures.
Jaffer Express train attack
Terrorists on Tuesday attacked a Jaffar Express train in Bolan, Balochistan, while taking the civilians hostage. Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry while talking on Dunya News programme on Wednesday revealed that the security forces have rescued all the hostages aboard the Jaffar Express train during the rescue operation.
