WEBDESK (Azaad English): Authorities have announced a four-day closure of schools in the Galyat region due to heavy snowfall and icy roads. The decision aims to ensure the safety of students and staff as severe weather continues to impact the area.
Heavy snowfall and rain maintain hazardous conditions in Murree Hill Station along with neighboring regions of Galyat and the surrounding areas. The electrical power infrastructure experienced total disruption across Nathia Gali and Ayubia together with Thandiani and Changla Gali.

The Galyat Development Authority (GDA) operates actively to remove snow from roads while working to restore overall accessibility. Director General Shahrukh Ali leads efforts for opening the Abbottabad to Murree main highway when weather conditions permit.
The extreme weather conditions have led authorities to block all tourist access into this zone. The prevention of stranded guests occurs through a system that sends them back because weather conditions pose safety risks.
Islamabad, Punjab, and the Pothohar region will experience heavy rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms. In northern areas, hailstorms and snowfall are anticipated, while powerful rainfall storms may trigger flash floods in vulnerable regions.
The Malakand and Hazara divisions in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will see a mix of rain, snowfall, and thunderstorms.
Authorities have issued warnings about potential landslides, particularly in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with the heightened risk of flash floods in the region.
