WEBDESK (Azaad English): Several parts of Pakistan received heavy rainfall on Thursday, which provided relief to people living in the country along with assisting farmers through the weather conditions. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the rainfall conditions will persist for two more consecutive days.

The majority of Pakistani cities together with the national capital Islamabad underwent rainfall which produced a reduction in temperatures and improved the overall climate. A heavy rainfall soaked different parts of Punjab when it covered the cities of Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, and Gujar Khan thereby improving the local environment.

A severe temperature decline affected Peshawar along with Charsadda Mardan and Dir and other areas throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) after rain hit. Snowfall reached Nathiagali and Ayubia along with the complete closure of Abbottabad-Murree Road.

The Neelum Valley together with the Leepa Valley and Jagran region of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) became completely white after receiving heavy snowfall. The heavy snow prevented people from traveling on roads located in the upper parts of the region.

The districts of Kalat along with Chaman and Sibi received precipitation in Balochistan. Qila Saifullah and Ziarat together with other areas received small amounts of snowfall which intensified the cold conditions within those regions.

The required rainfall temperature has lowered drought worries about agriculture and water reservoirs in the country.
