Pakistani batter Haider Ali investigation has entered a legal phase after Greater Manchester Police confirmed the 24-year-old was arrested on 3 August in connection with an alleged case of sexual molestation.
The player, touring England with the Pakistan Shaheens, was taken into custody at Hove and later released on bail.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said it learned of the incident during the Shaheens’ UK tour and has placed Haider under provisional suspension “effective immediately”.
While police inquiries continue. The board added that it is providing legal assistance to ensure the player’s rights are protected and emphasised respect for British judicial procedures.
Haider, who has featured in two ODIs and 35 T20Is, was due to appear in a one-day match at Beckenham on the day of his arrest.
For now he cannot take part in domestic or international fixtures until the case is resolved. The PCB said any further action will depend on the investigation’s outcome.
