Field Marshal Asim Munir is the last hope for Kashmiris, says Mushaal Malik

Webdesk: Mushaal Malik has said that Field Marshal Asim Munir is the last hope for the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

Mushaal Hussein Malik, wife of jailed Kashmiri freedom leader Yasin Malik and a prominent human rights activist, has said that August 5, 2019, will always be remembered as a dark chapter in the history of Kashmir.

On this day, India revoked the constitutional identity of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and unleashed a fresh wave of oppression, she said in a separate statement.

Speaking to the media at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi, Mushaal said visiting the final resting place of the founder of Pakistan gave her spiritual strength and renewed courage.

She recalled that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah dedicated his life to Pakistan and had declared Kashmir as the “jugular vein” of the country, highlighting its lasting importance.

She noted that the Kashmiri people now fully understand the price of freedom and are proving their commitment daily by making countless sacrifices in pursuit of their rights.

Mushaal Malik said that India is involved in acts of terrorism against Pakistan. Stating that its intelligence agency, RAW, has been operating various networks to destabilise the country.

She said that India has not only targeted civilian populations during conflict but has also run propaganda campaigns against Pakistan through false flag operations and baseless accusations.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, she said India tried to blame Pakistan for a staged operation to escalate tensions, but Pakistan was vindicated in the “Marka-e-Haq.”

She urged the international community to take serious notice of the atrocities committed against the people of Kashmir and to support their right to self-determination by taking concrete and meaningful action.

On the sixth anniversary of Youm-e-Istehsal, Pakistan’s military leadership reaffirmed its firm support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), calling for an end to what it described as continued unlawful occupation.

In a message issued on Tuesday, the country’s top military figures, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff, and Chief of Air Staff, expressed serious concern over the situation in the region.
