Webdesk: Hot and humid weather is likely to continue across most parts of the country today, as per the latest Pakistan weather update.
Although there is a chance of rain, winds, and thunderstorms in some upper areas, including Punjab, the Potohar region, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir.
According to the forecast, a few places could also experience heavy rainfall during this time.
The current weather pattern shows a seasonal low-pressure system over northern Balochistan, while monsoon currents continue to affect the upper regions.
A westerly wave is also present over the northern areas of Pakistan, contributing to the unstable weather.

Balochistan weather
Most parts of the province are expected to remain hot and humid. Coastal areas may see partly cloudy conditions.
However, there’s a possibility of rain, wind, or thunderstorms in Zhob, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Mo Si Khel and nearby locations during the evening or night.
Sindh weather
The weather will stay mainly hot and humid across the province. Coastal areas could experience partly cloudy skies.
Punjab weather
Hot and humid conditions are expected to persist across most areas.
However, isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorm activity may occur in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal and Lahore.
Additionally in Sheikhupura, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Jhang, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan and surrounding areas.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa weather
Showers and thunderstorms with winds are expected in several areas, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra and Abbottabad.
Additionally in Kurram, Peshawar, Nowshera, Malakand, Swabi, Mardan, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Laki Marwat, Tank, D.I. Khan and Waziristan. Heavier rainfall may occur in the upper districts.
Islamabad weather
The federal capital is expected to see partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind, and thunderstorms. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in some parts.
Kashmir weather
Partly cloudy weather is likely, with rain-wind/thundershowers expected at isolated spots. Heavy rainfall may occur in certain areas.
Gilgit-Baltistan weather
The region may experience partly cloudy weather, along with isolated rain-wind/thunderstorm activity. Some areas may also receive heavy rainfall.
Much of the country experienced hot and humid weather in the past 24 hours. However, parts of the northeast Potohar region, Islamabad, and Kashmir received rainfall and thunderstorms, some of which were heavy.

Rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected from Tuesday to Saturday in popular tourist areas, including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Murree, Galiyat, Chitral, Dir, Kalam, Malam Jabba, Naran, Kaghan, Gilgit, Hunza, and Skardu.
Heavy falls may occur during this period.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to dry conditions are expected in Ziarat and nearby areas.
