Muslim man slapped mid-air in India went missing, later found unwell

Muslim man slapped

A Muslim man slapped by his fellow passenger during the flight.

According to the viral video, the man who was from Assam, India, Hussain Ahmed Majumdar, had a panic attack when he was going from Mumbai to Kolkata.

He was then slapped, and the man claimed that Ahmed was causing problems.

In the video, another passenger could be heard asking, “Why did you slap him? You do not have the right to hit anybody, do you understand?”

A crew member was also heard telling the accused, “Do not do that.”

After the incident, the man who slapped the Muslim man was detained by police and was later released.

But the man who got physically abused in front of other passengers did not take the connecting flight and went missing.

So the family filed a missing case report, and he was then found at Barpeta railway station in Assam, physically and mentally unwell.

It is pertinent to mention that discrimination against Muslims in India has spiked in recent months, amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of their recent military confrontation, sparked by New Delhi’s allegations levelled without evidence against Islamabad over a deadly attack in occupied Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
