The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) board of directors has decided to ban Pakistan from participating in the World Championship of Legends, according to Jang News.
The report comes against the backdrop of India Champions’ withdrawal from the semi-final of the World Championship of Legends (WCL), originally scheduled for Thursday against Pakistan Champions.
In an official statement, the WCL said: “We respect the India Champions’ decision to withdraw from the semi-finals, and we equally respect the Pakistan Champions’ readiness to compete. Taking all factors into consideration, the match between the India Champions and the Pakistan Champions has been called off. As a result, Pakistan Champions will advance to the final.”
According to media reports, the name Pakistan will no longer be used in any league, and any league wanting to use Pakistan’s name will have to officially request it through the PCB.
However, Pakistan champions will be allowed to play in the final of the ongoing event in England.
According to reports, this decision has been taken to protect Pakistan’s reputation after India dropped out of a sports match due to political scoring.
Indian players, as per tradition, exploited the spirit of sports for political scoring at the behest of the Modi government.
