WEBDESK: The Indian Army has once again staged a fake encounter near the Line of Control (LoC). This time, under the banner of Operation Shiv Shakti, two innocent individuals were reportedly killed to support a false narrative of cross-border terrorism.
According to Indian media, the army claimed it had killed two “terrorists” near Poonch while they were allegedly trying to cross the LoC. Reports also say that three weapons were recovered during the operation.
Indian sources stated that the operation was conducted jointly by intelligence agencies and the local police. However, the timing and method of the operation raise serious doubts.
Analysts believe this was a scripted move to promote militarism and distract from internal failures. Critics say that the Modi government often uses such tactics to fuel nationalism and cover up its shortcomings.
At present, the BJP is under fire for rising inflation, policy failures, and intelligence lapses. There is growing unrest within the party, and economic indicators are worsening.
Instead of addressing these challenges, the government is trying to create artificial threats at the border. The use of fake encounters to silence criticism and divert public attention is not a new strategy for the current Indian regime.
This latest incident shows how far the government is willing to go to maintain its grip on power even if it means taking innocent lives.
