Pakistan defeat West Indies in first T20I

Webdesk: Pakistan took a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20 series by defeating the West Indies by 14 runs in the first match.

The game was played in Lauderhill, Florida (USA), where West Indies captain Shai Hope won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, Pakistan posted a total of 178 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Saim Ayub starred with the bat, scoring a brilliant 57 runs and emerging as the top scorer for Pakistan. Fakhar Zaman contributed 28 runs, while Hasan Nawaz added 24.

In reply, the West Indies managed 164 runs for 7 wickets in their 20 overs, falling short by 14 runs. Johnson Charles and Jeavor Royal (assumed to be “Jewel Andrew” based on your text) both scored 35 runs each.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz bowled exceptionally well, claiming 3 wickets. Saim Ayub also shone with the ball, taking 2 wickets. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sufyan Muqeem picked up one wicket each.
