Internet users across Pakistan are currently experiencing slow speeds and service interruptions today.
Several Internet Service Providers (ISPs), including Nayatel and PTCL, have confirmed widespread connectivity issues.
According to an email from Nayatel’s Technical Assistance Center, the internet disruption is due to several different issues that are affecting international traffic and access to various critical services:
Eastbound Internet Traffic: International traffic is being affected due to issues facing one of Nayatel’s upstream providers, resulting in slow speeds and unstable connections.
Microsoft Services Outage: Apps like Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive are also down across the country.
CloudFlare-based Services: Websites and applications that rely on CloudFlare’s infrastructure are either extremely slow or completely inaccessible.
Nayatel has clarified that all these issues are separate, but due to their occurrence together, the situation has become more complicated for the users. Other internet service providers have also confirmed similar complaints, which shows that this problem is not limited to any one company.
Technical experts of internet service providers and affected services are actively working to diagnose and resolve these issues; however, no official timeline has been issued yet for the resolution of these issues.
