Schedule of Asia Cup 2025 announced

Fans around the globe have wondered about possible showdown between India and Pakistan after recent tensions.

Following the Pahalgam attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on April 22, India launched missiles at Pakistani civilians on the night of May 6-7.

The brazen attack in violation of all international norms and humanitarian principles led to martyrdom of more than 50 civilians including multiple children and women.

Pakistan, in its defence, shot down multiple Indian fighter jets including its crown jewels Rafales and launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos which forced India to accept a US mediated ceasefire.

Since then, India has faced a flurry of diplomatic setbacks as its narrative has completely fallen apart in the international community.

Previously, Mohsin Naqvi had stated that talks are ongoing with the Indian Cricket Board, hinting at a possible showdown between India vs Pakistan in the upcoming Asia Cup in September.

Speaking to the media, Naqvi remarked, “We will announce it shortly. We have had discussions with the BCCI, and we will resolve a few issues shortly. Everything will be resolved soon.”

The annual meeting of the Asian Cricket Council was held in Dhaka under the chairmanship of President Mohsin Naqvi.
