WEBDESK: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced that citizens will soon be able to book appointments through the Pak ID mobile app.
This is a new service that will enable the citizens to book appointment at chosen NADRA Registration Centres (NRCs) and allow curbing the long queues and wait.
The announcement was made through NADRA’s official social media channels. The service will first be introduced at 43 NRCs across Pakistan in Phase One. These include major centres in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Gilgit, Muzaffarabad, and others.
Although no exact launch date has been shared, NADRA confirmed that the appointment booking system is in its final development stage. “The option will be added to the Pak ID mobile application very soon,” the statement read.
The Pak ID app already allows users to apply for identity documents like CNIC, NICOP, and others. It offers services such as biometric verification, document upload, and online fee payment—all from home.
With the upcoming update, users will also be able to book in-person appointments through the app.
NADRA is also offering a digital fee payment system. Now, Easypaisa, JazzCash, e-Sahulat, and other platforms can be used by citizens to pay documents. This has been made easy, secure and also makes sure that documents reach at user preferred addresses within reasonable time.
