Webdesk: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Azam Swati has made serious allegations against fellow party leader Shahbaz Gill and revealed that Gill has betrayed Imran Khan, calling him a “snake in the sleeve” within the PTI ranks.
On Thursday, Azam Swati released a video message in which he strongly rejected Shahbaz Gill’s false accusations and fabricated statements.
In his message, Azam Swati said, “Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him) have said that the best among you is the one with the best character, and the worst among you is the one who lies. Allah has even cursed liars in the Holy Quran.”
He added, “Allah has also said that if a wicked person brings you some news, then verify it properly so that you don’t commit a mistake out of ignorance and later regret it.”
Azam Swati directly addressed Shahbaz Gill, saying, “You deliberately tried to blackmail people with baseless accusations. I will present the facts regarding the sale of my house. This house is in Abbottabad, located between Habibullah Colony and Kakul Garrison. Both areas are separated by just a high wall. Your entire story about this is false and made-up.”
He continued, “You have picked the wrong person to target. If you don’t apologise, I will make videos with the respectable citizens, scholars, local bodies members, and people from the cantonment in Abbottabad. I will ask them to testify under oath about the land prices from a year and a half ago. You will then be forced to apologise.”
“You were given a position after the death of Naeem-ul-Haq, a position you were never worthy of, and yet you turned out to be a snake in the sleeve.”
Azam Swati said, “You were the first insider to betray Imran Khan. You disclosed sensitive information to the agencies that even Imran Khan or his closest allies were unaware of. Not just me, many others in the party know this. Whether it was while you were in jail, at PIMS Hospital, or in the CIA lock-up, it is all known.”
He added, “Today, inside the party, you are attacking others with false accusations. God knows whose agenda you are working for. With your smooth talk, you are damaging my country, Pakistan.”
“It’s a shame that you tell fairy tales to simple, patriotic overseas Pakistanis in the US who deeply love Imran Khan, and through their trust, you gain influence. I feel ashamed that you were the first to betray Imran Khan’s trust.”
“Shahbaz Gill, you betrayed my leader. I invite you: instead of pushing Pakistan to the brink of destruction, come and join the movement from within the country, the movement for Imran Khan’s release. If you are not ruled by fear, accept my challenge.”
“In the end, I advise you: stop harming Pakistan. I will be waiting for you to complete the proper inquiry into the house sale. And if you’ve made a mistake, there’s no shame in admitting it and asking for forgiveness.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that seeking forgiveness for a mistake is not humiliation. I will advocate for your honour on the Day of Judgment if you admit the truth. But you have lied, made false accusations, spread division within the party, and are working on someone else’s agenda to destroy Pakistan.”
