Saina and Parupalli got married in 2018. The two have known each other several years back when they both trained at Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad. They were one of the most popular couples of Indian sport observed over the years.

In 2012, Saina also became the world number 1 in the women singles event after winning a bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics. Parupalli Kashyap has reached the top 10 of the world in games and won a gold medal in 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Saina Nehwal Seperation Speculations Confirmed

Rumours of tension had also been doing the rounds before, but this would be the first time either of them has spoken up about it. Parupalli does not make public statement so far.

The message by Saina was very short and very respectful. She requested the fans and media to give her privacy in this period.

Saina Nehwal’s Health and Future in Sport

Saina is now 35, and she has been facing some health problems. Last year, in a podcast, she also said she is fighting arthritis, and training is extremely hard. The retirement was on the cards, she suggested.

The two have now taken different directions but both are still honourable names in Indian sport. Millions have been inspired by their careers.

Saina and Parupalli are no longer together, yet this split does not eliminate the history they share in the Indian badminton.
