Webdesk: A massive fire broke out when a goods train loaded with diesel derailed near Tiruvallur Railway Station in Tamil Nadu causing instant panic among the people.
All the rail schedules in and around the station were put to a standstill.
The derailed train, which was the Hisar Express train going to Tirupati, took fire and the fire spread really fast to cover several compartments.
Passengers panicked as the fire spread rapidly, prompting authorities to suspend all nearby train operations.
Fire tenders were immediately rushed to the scene to control the situation.
The incident has once again raised serious concerns about the deteriorating state of infrastructure in India, as critics accuse the government of prioritising public relations over real safety measures.
