WEBDESK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the recent Balochistan terror attack, vowing that the blood of innocent civilians killed in the incident will not go unavenged.

In a statement issued, the prime minister described the brutal Balochistan terror attack as yet another savage act of terrorism orchestrated by “Fitna-al-Hindustan” (the mischief of India), holding the enemy responsible for targeting unarmed citizens.

“The killing of innocent civilians is clear terrorism by Fitna-al-Hindustan. We will confront these terrorists with full force,” PM Shehbaz asserted. He added that the nation is determined to root out the menace of terrorism through unity and unwavering resolve.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the terrorist attack in Sarha Daki area of Zhob, terming it a cowardly act by militants aligned with “Fitna-al-Hindustan.”

“This is the height of barbarism,” said Naqvi in a statement expressing deep sorrow and grief over the tragic incident. He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

“Targeting innocent and defenceless citizens once again reveals the enemy’s savagery,” the interior minister added.

At least nine passengers were brutally martyred after being abducted by terrorists associated with Fitna-al-Hindustan in Balochistan’s Zhob district on Thursday night.

According to initial reports, militants stopped a bus travelling from Quetta to Lahore, forcibly removed nine passengers after verifying their identities, and executed them in cold blood. All victims were reportedly residents of Punjab, with two of the deceased confirmed to be real brothers.

The Zhob Assistant Commissioner confirmed the incident, stating that the bodies had been transported to the Rakni Hospital. He verified that all those killed were from Punjab.

A spokesperson for the Balochistan government said that security forces promptly responded to the attack, pursuing the assailants who escaped under the cover of darkness. A search operation is currently underway, with intensified efforts to track down the perpetrators.

The spokesman reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding civilians, saying that it has stepped up counter-terror activities in the area.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a cowardly act of terrorism. “Those responsible will be hunted down and dealt with severely,” he said.

He further stated that such acts have no place in Balochistan and vowed to eliminate anyone who dares to challenge the authority of the state. “This was a deliberate act of terrorism by hostile elements seeking to destabilise and divide Pakistan,” CM Bugti said.

He emphasised that the objective behind such attacks is to instil fear and chaos, but reassured the nation that Pakistan will remain united. “Our enemies will never succeed in breaking the resolve of the Pakistani people,” he concluded.
