In a significant development, Indian government has announced to quietly award honors to over 100 soldiers and Rafale pilots who lost their lives in the war against Pakistan in May.
The development comes after weeks of hiding military casualties by Indian government and military. Sources have revealed that the Indian armed forces suffered more than 250 casualties but under immense pressure from within institutions and families, the Indian government will honor over 100 soldiers.
Since India launched an attack on Pakistani civilians, targeting women and children on the night of May 6-7, Pakistan responded swiftly to Indian military targets, avoiding civilian casualties.
It has been revealed that four Indian Air Force pilots were killed during the war and more than 250 Indian soldiers were killed on the Line of Control (LoC) alone.
According to reports, the Indian army is under severe internal pressure due to not admitting the deaths of its personnel.
The list of those now being posthumously honored includes 7 personnel from an Indian Air Force unit, 5 soldiers from the 10th Infantry Brigade killed at G-Top, and 9 troops from the 93rd Infantry Brigade headquarters.
Security sources have also revealed that out of the four Indian Air Force pilots being honored, three were Rafale jet pilots.
Furthermore, 5 operators of the S-400 missile defense system who died at Adampur Airbase.
The recent development has further proved Pakistan’s narrative true as it emphasized that India was forced to accept the ceasefire after Pakistan launched Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
