India’s law and order crumbles: 60 year old woman among 4 shot dead in Manipur’s firing incident

WEBDESK: At least four people, including a 60 year old woman, were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Manipur firing incident on Monday. The latest bloodshed once again highlights the Indian government’s complete failure to restore law and order in the troubled state.

Despite repeated claims by the Modi led regime that the situation in Manipur is “under control,” violent incidents continue to unfold with alarming frequency. Monday’s attack, which claimed innocent lives, underscores the ongoing breakdown of governance and security in the region.

According to local police, investigations are currently underway, but no arrests have been made so far. Victims’ families are demanding answers, while the authorities remain largely silent.

The identity of the attackers remains unknown, raising serious questions about India’s intelligence capabilities and its priorities in the North-East. Many now accuse the government of turning a blind eye to Manipur’s deepening crisis in favour of political optics elsewhere.

Once again, it is the ordinary people of Manipur who are paying the price for New Delhi’s negligence and failure to act. The latest killings come as part of a disturbing pattern of lawlessness, ethnic tension, and unchecked violence a tragic reflection of India’s fractured internal stability.
