WEBDESK: Iran has launched an investigation into Indian software and technology firms operating within its borders, suspecting that they may have provided Israel with backdoor access during the Iran-Israel conflict.
According to Iranian media reports, this breach could have enabled Israel to gather sensitive digital data.
Officials in Tehran are particularly concerned because many of Iran’s key institutions, including airports and passport offices, rely on Indian-developed software.
These systems are now under review as authorities probe potential vulnerabilities that may have been exploited.
The reports also allege that the critical information might have facilitated targeted assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists.
Iran government is currently in the process of evaluating the scope of digital infiltration and effects on national security.
